A sweet client of mine gave me a wonderful devotional called? “Seeking Daily the Heart of God“.? Today’s “word” is amazing. I share it with you this last day of 2010. It reminds me, again, that the temporal”ness” of this world is fading fast and that eternity is awaiting us.
Here’s the excerpt:
“We are all part of the wedding party for Christ and His Church. The Holy Spirit is the wedding planner. God the Father is the officiator of the ceremony. NOW is the rehearsal. Do you know your role? Are you dressed for the part? Are you ready for this grand and glorious processional to heaven? We will weep for the opportunity to be a part of this wondrous wedding in glory. We will weep with joy, thanksgiving, and gratitude. We will weep with excitement. We will weep when we see loved ones and saints who have gone before us. We will weep in His presence. We will sob uncontrollably when we see His face. Our emotion will be unbridled.
Then Jesus will quietly, lovingly, and most gently and compassionately, wipe away our tears.”
“Jesus, help me to focus on Your Will for my life and not my own agenda. Thank u for saving me. As this year 2010 ends this day, thank you for giving me another year to honor and glorify you.”
